I’m pretty excited to have the cooler weather behind us finally. Is it just me, or did it seem like winter this past year just dragged on forever & now spring is flying by? Even though winter isn’t as harsh in California compared to where I’m from in the Midwest, it doesn’t mean that I get to dress for spring year-round! You’d be surprised how cool 60 degrees can feel in California, especially by the water. Once it officially turns to spring, I love breaking out my light-colored hats, strappy sandals, and floral dresses. There is just something about the warmer sun that makes me want to wear all of the pretty pastels.

2021 Spring Fashion Trend #1: Wide Leg Pants
As a petite woman, I am incredibly excited about these wide-leg pants from Petal and Pup. I previously thought that wide-leg pants were more suited for taller women, but these proved me wrong. When I tried these wide-leg pants from Petal and Pup, I was so pleased with how they fit! I didn’t even have to get any of them hemmed! I am glad that I bought a few pairs because I know these will be a 2021 spring fashion trend staple for me. There are so many different options regardless of whether you are looking for a more feminine style or casual. These wide-leg pants are so easy to put on, style, and are very comfortable to wear.
2021 Spring Fashion Trend #2: Big, Retro Florals
I am seeing big, retro florals on so many different clothing pieces recently while shopping for new things for my spring wardrobe. This is definitely a 2021 spring fashion trend that will be popular. I especially love the florals in this dress since it features some of my favorite colors. The big, retro florals are much different than the spring fashion trends we have seen in the past with smaller, feminine style florals (which I still love too!). This dress will be great to wear out for brunch or a sunset picnic on the beach. I know I will get so much use out of this Petal and Pup dress, and I can’t wait to try other retro floral prints this spring!
2021 Spring Fashion Trend #3: Vintage Style Denim
Since skinny jeans are beginning to phase out, I’m attempting to try more wide-leg styles. Who here is still trying to get used to the trend of skinny jeans no longer being in style? I know I am! This pair of vintage denim isn’t a full flare, but it is definitely an excellent medium to get used to. I actually like this style more than I had anticipated. I love the jeans paired with a more feminine top. They look great with strappy sandals which are a new staple for me. This pair is under $30 and comes in 7 colors.
