I am so glad spring is here! I wish it would start feeling like it in Orange County, but it looks like we’ll be back to our beloved 70’s through the weekend so I think my wish might come true. I’m starting to get my wardrobe ready for spring which means I’ll be bringing back some of my staple items like my circle straw crossbody bag. One of my favorite spring looks is a chambray top with white jeans. This spring, I wanted to find a way to elevate this classic look since a lot of people have both of these items.
Tips to Elevate a Chambray Top
The first thing I did to elevate the chambray top is add a neck scarf. I’ve been wanting to try this trend, but couldn’t decide how to style it. I actually shot photos for the blog wearing one before, but I didn’t like the way I tied the scarf so you didn’t end up seeing them. I have to say, I am OBSESSED with this scarf, and it’s skinny so it’s really easy to tie and doesn’t look too chunky. I also love this skinny scarf and this one.
My next tip to up your chambray top game is to add a hat. I think adding hats to any outfit automatically makes them so much more stylish. I’ve started purchasing more hats lately so I have a lot of options to go with my basics. I love the striped one I’m wearing, and it’s under $13! I also purchased this one and this one that are both under $15. If you can stock up on fun accessories like hats to go with basics like a chambray top, you have an effortless, stylish look you can throw on when you’re running late.
My last tip to elevate your chambray top is to add a fun, spring bag. There are so many cute straw ones available right now at a wide variety of prices. I really love this fringe straw bag that’s under $50. The circle one I’m wearing is one of my go-to’s as well as my Clare V bag. I hope this post inspires you to take some of your classics and add new spring trends to them to really create a refreshed look for this season. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by! xoxo!
