Gift baskets are one of my favorite ways to show a loved one how much they mean to you! Curating items that the recipient loves is so thoughtful and shows them just how much you care about them.
Gift baskets are one of my favorite ways to show a loved one how much they mean to you! Curating items that the recipient loves is so thoughtful and shows them just how much you care about them. I’ve made gift baskets over the years for so many holidays and occasions. But what I love about a self care basket is that the theme can suit so many occasions – mother’s day, a new mom, a bride, college student, etc. You can also gift it to a loved one without a special occasion just to say “I’m here for you”!
A self care basket is a gift basket with a cozy theme centered around the recipient getting some me-time! You can include cozy items, hobby items, relaxing items, etc. Between pajamas and candles, there are so many options. You can also include candy, teabags, or anything else that would be relaxing for your loved one.
Can you ever have too many pajama sets? I feel so luxurious and put together when I have a matching pajama set on. I’m always overjoyed when somebody gifts me pajamas, and I think it’s the cherry on top of a care gift basket. These pajamas are so cute for summer.
A satin pillowcase is such a unique gift idea in general! They have so many benefits for your hair and face as opposed to the damage that can be caused by an alternative fabric.
A sleep remedy like pillow mist or linen spray, is another unique self care gift idea! The scent can be so relaxing, especially paired with a satin pillowcase.
When I gift somebody a candle I really try to pick one that reflects them most! Whether it’s the scent, the name, or the design, I want them to know that I bought that candle specifically for them. Hotel Lobby Candles and Homesick Candles create beautiful scents to reflect different locations, which is another way you can make the gift special.
Skincare and beauty goodies are one of my favorite gifts to receive! Especially when it’s something you wouldn’t normally buy, such as face masks, serums, and unique treatments.
Along with skincare products, you can include a gua sha tool, a jade roller, or ice globes! These are all such relaxing options, especially after a long day.
Lotion, body serum, and hair masks are just a few ideas for body care and hair care products that you can include too! Self care comes in so many forms.
A cosmetic pouch is a cute way to showcase all of the little items in! And a cosmetic pouch can come in so handy for traveling or just storing little items such as pens, not just cosmetics.
Some sort of water bottle or tumbler cup can also be a great addition for any gift basket! I like to fill them with teabags or electrolyte packets too, especially for a self care theme.
If you know me then you know that I’m such a slippers girl! Is there anything comfier than a brand new pair of fluffy slippers.
There are so many great cozy sock options on Amazon. Fuzzy socks – specifically aloe infused socks – are truly a little slice of heaven.
Journaling is not only great for your mental health but also a wonderful way to spend time alone. You can gift a journal personalized with their name, the Five Minute Journal, or even just a cute and simple notebook.
Reading a book is another cozy way to spend some me time. A novel or an inspirational non-fiction book is such a kind gift to include in a self care basket, especially if you find a book that you know they’d enjoy. A coloring book is another cute idea too if that suits them better.
A Jellycat or another type of plushy is such a cute and cozy touch too! Especially if the recipient is a fan of a certain brand or animal.
A match cloche is such a beautiful and unique gift idea! Lighting a candle with a match is such a cozy moment for a self care night.
Baths are such a simple yet luxurious form of self care. Bath bombs, bubble bath, bath foam, epsom salt, etc. are all great ways to elevate a bath routine.
Being active is such an important form of self care. You can include resistance bands, pilates socks, and more.
First, you need a basket of some sort for your round up of gifts! The basket usually comes in handy for the recipient afterwards as well. You don’t actually need a basket for a “gift basket”. You can use so many things, such as a bag or mug. I love this unique scalloped basket.
In order to fill out the bottom of your basket, you can use tissue paper, or a bigger gift like pajamas or a throw blanket as the base! Candy or another treat can also be used to fill out the bottom as well.
Something cozy should be included in a self care basket, in my opinion. Your cozy items can include pajamas, slippers, a throw blanket, a plushy, fuzzy socks, etc. I love receiving something cozy because there’s just something special about new socks or new pajamas.
I love to add some sort of hobby-focused item to a gift basket. This step really allows you to cater the gift basket to your loved one so they know how well you know them. For example, they may be into reading, crafting, fitness, etc. So you could add a novel, a journal, a coloring book, or even cute pilates socks. Spending time with yourself and indulging in a hobby is such a wonderful form of self care.
Lastly, a self care gift basket should include a relaxing item like a candle, pillow spray, bubble bath, or skin and body care items. I love to include something that you wouldn’t normally buy for yourself. A quality bubble bath or candle from the recipient’s hometown can be such a comforting way to unwind.
