Happy Halloween, my friends! It’s such a fun time of year, and there’s so many ways to get in the spirit. Some people celebrate the occasion by going to the pumpkin patch or trick or treating outdoors, and some people want to stay in and enjoy the weather! For me personally, Halloween marks the beginning of the cozy season and nothing says cozy like a movie night. Today, I’m sharing a round-up of movie night ideas for your Halloween movie night party!
A memorable Halloween movie night must have cute decorations, delicious treats, a cozy setup, and most importantly, a really good Halloween movie! I’ve listed all of my Halloween movie night tips, treat ideas, and my Halloween movie master list.
To kick off spooky season, I decorated my home for Halloween and hosted a Halloween movie night! In preparation for the new Beetlejuice movie, we watched the original Beetlejuice, and I had so much fun putting everything together.
If you’re not sure how to decorate for a Halloween movie night, just gather some pillows and blankets and put out some spooky decorations! For example, at my Beetlejuice movie night, I brought out my cozy convertible bean bag and set out all of my Halloween pillows, along with some cozy blankets, all from Amazon!
Of course they’re not mandatory, but fun Halloween decorations make a movie night so much more memorable! With my home already decorated for Halloween, it didn’t take much time to set up. I already had my Halloween decorations out and made sure to light all of the candles to really set the mood for a cozy night in.
I love a spooky theme! For my mantel and TV console area, I reused a lot of my decorations from Target. I also added a few new items from Anthropolgie and Target’s current halloween decor collections.

If you’re including children at your movie night – or if you simply prefer this cozy genre – then this list is for you! These movies are all super kid friendly, and while some are new, I also included some fun, nostalgic films. I also gave a shout out to the early 2000’s Disney Channel Halloween movies at the bottom!

Fall movie nights don’t have to be Halloween themed! There are so many classic movies to watch this fall to get in the cozy spirit and mood. When I think of fall movies, I think of magic, football, school and rom-coms! In one way or another, each of these movies fits the cozy fall season. The Hallmark channel on Hulu has such cozy vibes this time of the year! Perfect for background noise.

My friends and I have a really fun fall tradition where we give each other boo baskets to get in the Halloween spirit. For our latest Halloween movie night, my friend and I exchanged boo baskets! This step isn’t mandatory of course, but it was such a memorable touch.
