What You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • 2 whole pickles or 8 pickle spears (I used Grillo’s hot pickles spears but you can any brand or flavor that you like)
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 – 1 jalapeño (based on spice level preference)
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 1 garlic glove
  • 1/2 cup of pickle brine (I used the brine from the Grillo’s hot pickles spears)
  • Salt to taste

You can also add other ingredients if anything else is calling your name! Such as lime, red onion, cucumbers, more spices, etc.

The tools I used (click to shop):

This vegetable chopper is the absolute best! I use it all of the time for cooking and it saves me so much prep time! This chopping gadget is also such a relief if you suffer from any joint pain in your hand, wrist, or elbow. I have the cooking tool set in the middle, which included my garlic presser from the video, however, you can also buy a garlic press by itself!

How to Make Pickle de Gallo

Directions:

  1. Finely dice the pickles, red bell pepper, jalapeño, and yellow onion in the vegetable chopper.
  2. Mince the garlic, add to mixture.
  3. Add the brine and salt.
  4. Combine ingredients.
  5. You can enjoy right away but it’s best served after about 1 hour of marinating.

This snack is so refreshing and delicious, I can’t wait to make it for summer parties. It’s so yummy with tortilla chips, but I’m dying to try it on hot dogs and burgers!
