What You’ll Need to Make Taylor Swift’s Chai Sugar Cookies with Vanilla Buttercream
Pre-heat oven to 350 F degrees and grease cookie sheet using oil spray of choice.
Beat butter; add vegetable oil.
Add sugar, powdered sugar, egg and vanilla; stir.
Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and tea.
Chill the soft dough for about 1 hour.
Line cookie sheet with 12 tablespoons dough drops.
Press evenly and cover with sugar.
Bake for around 9 minutes in the oven.
Cover with icing of choice once they’re completely cool.
The Icing Directions:
Beat the soft butter over medium speed with electric mixer until soft.
Continue to beat as you gradually add in the powdered sugar. Stop the mixer, scrape down the sides with a spatula, beat again.
Once fully mixed, add vanilla and heavy cream.
Beat until you reach a desired consistency.
Frost cooled cookies immediately.
