Today I’m partnering with The Ms Collection to do a full review of their clothing rental service. I am so excited to share this find with y’all! I was a little hesitant about trying a clothing rental company because I knew friends that tried similar companies and they said the styles they received did not seem to be on-trend. When I scanned the list of brands The Ms Collection could potentially send and saw names I love like Vince Camuto and Eliza J, I was really excited to learn more.
A clothing rental company like The Ms Collection really appealed to me for a few reasons. First, I am notorious for buying things and leaving them in my closet with the tags on them. I’ve also been known to not wear something again because I recently shared a photo of me wearing it on Instagram. I know I’m not the only one out there who has done this before! Being able to wear a piece of clothing once without feeling guilty sounded amazing to me! I also love the idea of a stylist sending on-trend items to me when I am too busy to shop for myself because there are definitely those times, especially prior to blogging when I didn’t need to shop for my job.
The Ms Collection Review
First, let me give you all the details you need to know! The Ms Collection sends you 3-4 items per pack and allows you to keep them as long as you want. To start, I had to decide which pack I wanted to sign up for, Ms. Business or Ms. Play. I am super lucky and don’t have to dress in business clothes to work so the Ms. Play pack made the most sense for me! If you can’t decide which one you’d prefer, they have a combo pack that allows you to get a mix of both play and business. The service is also available for men at The Mr. Collection.
Next, I filled out a style profile. I made sure to leave detailed notes and links to my social media accounts like Pinterest and Instagram so the stylist could really get a sense of what I like. She even left a note with my package that she picked one of the tops because she saw I pinned an image that was similar so they truly take the time to look at these things.
After I completed my style profile with The Ms Collection, I needed to wait for my pack to arrive. I didn’t know what was going to come in my pack so opening it was a really fun surprise. My stylist at The Ms Collection truly did an amazing job! I was nervous I wouldn’t like the styles or things wouldn’t fit well because of how petite I am, but she really listened to my notes because everything fit perfectly. If you absolutely love an item and don’t want to part with it, you can purchase anything in your pack at a discounted price. I have a feeling if you try this, you might end up purchasing something because it was really hard saying goodbye to this denim jacket. Now, for the fun part! I want to show you everything that was in my Ms. Play pack.
I received this denim jacket that fit SO well. I struggle to find denim jackets that aren’t too big on me, and the stylist nailed this without ever meeting me. This denim jacket was perfect with white denim but would also be really cute over a spring dress.
Next, I found this red top in my The Ms Collection pack. I absolutely love wearing red, and the straps on this top added a fun, unique detail. The top looked adorable with the denim jacket so all I had to add were my white jeans and a few accessories, and I had a fun new look. I could wear the denim jacket and red top to work, and take off the jacket for a GNO or a date night. I loved how versatile these pieces were.
My third item was a gingham tie top. I love gingham for spring, and tie tops have been one of my favorite things lately. This was the item my stylist picked due to the inspiration on my Pinterest board. You would pay full price for an item like this at a main retailer now, so being able to purchase this at the discounted member price is such a great deal! This top was really easy to style with my white jeans, and would be so cute for a Saturday out like brunch or shopping.
The last item I received was a bright, printed romper. I normally don’t wear prints this bold, but I think this would be fun for a vacation. The style was really flattering on me. This piece was fun to try because it wasn’t something I would normally pick for myself, but it looked really cute when I tried it on.
If you are looking for a clothing rental company to try because you’re too busy to shop, or like me, you’re known for only wearing things once, I highly recommend trying The Ms Collection. Using the code maxieelle20 you can receive 20% off your first month, making the Ms. Play pack under $40.
