These are my take on a classic galentine’s gift basket! I made 4 for all of my girls on Valentine’s Day! The items were pretty similar, but I used different flavors and scents to match each of their preferences! Some items I even bought one/a bulk to split up between the baskets.

2. In a Cosmetic Bag

This year for Valentine’s day, I put the items in a cosmetic bag. I included pilates socks, skincare, and my favorite Touchland mist and travel pouch. I also couldn’t resist this adorable $5 figurine from Target!

How to Make A Basket for Valentine’s Day

Step One: Pick the Theme

A cohesive color scheme makes a gift basket look very picturesque. For a holiday, it’s easy to just go with that color theme! So staying within those colors when purchasing items usually leads to a very beautiful basket.

Step Two: Choose the Presentation

You can use put your gifts in a basket, a bag, a mug etc. But it’s important to choose that before the rest of the items in case you’re facing size constraints. Using tissue paper and ribbon can also elevate the gift basket as well – especially if you’re needing filler to prop the items up!

Step Three: Shopping

Amazon has a lot of great items for gift baskets, so that’s where I start first. Places like Revolve, Sephora, Etsy, Anthropologie and Target are also other places that I buy items from as well. You can also go to your local grocery or lifestyle stores for more inspiration as well!

General gift basket ideas:

  • Candy
  • Plants or flowers
  • A book
  • Something homemade
  • Makeup or self care items
  • Slippers or socks
  • A stuffed animal

If you have more than one basket you’re putting together, you can buy variations of one thing – such as different perfumes, candles, etc. You can often save money by buying stuff in bulk and breaking it up as well.

Things you can break up into multiple presents:

  • Set of pens or highlighters
  • Makeup or skincare gift set
  • Set of socks or underwear
  • Lip balm set
  • Set of mugs or cocktail glasses
  • Hot chocolate or tea packets
Step Four: Putting It All Together

Placing the items in the basket can sometimes feel like a game of Tetris but after a few tries, you can find the best way to display everything in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

It doesn’t have to look perfect though, it’s truly the thought that counts!
