5 Easy & Healthy Salad In A Jar Recipe Ideas
1. Sushi Cucumber Salad In A Jar
Cucumber salad in a jar is essentially the method of filling a jar with sliced cucumbers and other ingredients – depending on the actual recipe. This trend has been all over my TikTok feed, and I love that there are so many ways to make a salad using cucumber as a base. The trend gained popularity by a TikTok creator, Logan. I’ve seen the viral cucumber salad be made as a Chinese inspired cucumber salad, tzatziki cucumber salad, cucumber sushi salad, and more. I’ve shared the recipes for all 3 here on my blog.
Ingredients
1 whole english cucumber, thinly sliced
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 an avocado, diced
1 can of tuna
2 Tbsp pickled sushi ginger
2 Tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 Tbsp mayonnaise
You can serve this recipe with seaweed or crackers! Or eat as is!
This pasta salad is so yummy and easy to make! I used chick pea pasta, so it’s still gluten-free. It has so many yummy hearty ingredients and these jars are wonderful for storage and meal prep! Just make sure to do the order I used so it doesn’t go soggy!
This recipe is so delicious and is essentially a deconstructed sushi mixture! When I make this salad, I place each bite inside of a seaweed sheet. It's the perfect pairing! This recipe is really easy to put together and includes a high amount of protein, using canned tuna and Greek yogurt. If you don't like tuna, you can replace it with salmon. You can also adjust the spice of this recipe adding more or less sriracha.
Thinly slice the cucumber – using a mandolin makes this process much faster. Chop the green onion and dice your avocado.
Add the vegetables to a 32 oz jar (or larger) along with the canned tuna, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, sushi ginger, sesame seeds, greek yogurt, and mayonnaise.
